Before + After Laundry Makeover

I was so excited to DIY my laundry room! From the beginning this space had overwhelming outdated cabinets. Such an eye sore + sqft stealer. It was a pleasure to remove the cabinets above the washers a couple years ago and do a quick shiplap wall.

I still was not in love with this room and it was such a drag doing laundry on top load & a left swing dryer door. We were so excited to purchase new front load washers from Lowe’s. . .on sale too!! (Bonus!! You can adjust for them to swing open the way that works for your space!!)

Before that though, we started by demolishing our red tile & added in these large hexagon tiles😍 They sure made this room pop!!

Next, we added bead board and trim to create a fun + cozy space. We painted the wainscoting Light French Gray by Sherwin Williams. I ordered wooden pegs that we stain and drilled for a fun decor! I found the wash, dry, fold and repeat signs from Targets $3 section. (: too cute. (Shop similar here.)

I always wanted to add in some greenery & I found these wall decals from amazon and installed them literally in less than five minutes. Plus I have orange peel and they applied perfectly.

Okay, okay!! I know you’re wondering… where did I get my sink?! Now this was a fun DIY I couldn’t resist! I found this sink on amazon. It came with a tiny drain tube so the first thing I needed to do was make the drain the right size and I bought a new one here. Next, I purchased a drain tube from Home Depot and let my plumber install it. Also, how cute is the wall faucet?! We had to make some adjustments because it didn’t fit correctly. . . have a handyman install if needed.

Have fun making your home beautiful and practical!

XO, Leah Rachel
